Course Description

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends this 10-hour training course for employees in many different industries in order to maintain a healthy and safe work environment. This training program is intended to provide entry-level, general industry, workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to identify, abate, avoid, and prevent job-related hazards on a job site. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards that a worker may encounter. Students will receive their OSHA 10 course completion card in the mail following the class.

OSHA 10-hour Class for General Industry 
Dates: Monday, August 18 and Tuesday, August 19  
Time: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm 
Location:  Penn State Altoona 3000 Ivyside Park, Altoona, PA 16601 
Students will receive their OSHA 10 course completion card in the mail following the class. There will be a one-hour lunch break, during which participants are free to explore local dining options on their own.
