Course Description
This training reviews the requirements of Internal Revenue Service Publication 1075, Office of Child Support Enforcement's Security & Privacy Program, the Health Insurance Portability and Accessibility Act, Commonwealth IT Acceptable Use Policy, Telework Policy and Procedure and Access for Outside Users. By the end of this training, participants will be able to: (1) Recognize confidential child support program information; (2) Define why you must protect confidential child support program information; (3) Identify how to protect confidential child support program information; (4) Describe and apply the reporting requirements for a breach of confidential child support program information; (5) Define the purpose of MD 205.34 Amended; (6) Identify acceptable use of the internet, mobile technologies, social media and instant messaging; (7) Identify unacceptable use of IT resources; (8) Understand the consequences of misuse of IT resources; (9) Define FTI; (10) Identify the regulations for protecting FTI; (11) Recognize how to protect FTI data in accordance with IRS Publication 1075; (12) State the penalty for unauthorized disclosure of FTI; (13) Recall the proper procedure to report an FTI breach; (14) Identify protected health information; (15)Define the appropriate use of PHI in DRS business; (16) Recognize the process to request documents from CIS Imaging; (17) Identify the telework requirements related to accessing and securing FTI; (18) Describe the telework requirements related to accessing and securing FPLS and confidential child support program information; (19) Describe how to create telework requirements in the DRS Security Awareness Plan; (20) Identify an outside user; (21) Describe the process an outside user must take to gain access; and (22) Explain the steps that the DRS must take if an auditor requires a detailed report of collection data. Training will be assessed through participation in a self-assessment
