C&DE 5145 - Engaged Scholarship Symposium

Course Description

The goal of this symposium is to share a common understanding of engaged scholarship, which is defined as "out-of-classroom academic experiences that complement classroom learning." Experts from Penn State and other institutions will share their perspectives about the growing role of engaged scholarship in higher education at large. Faculty and students will talk about their first-hand involvement with undergraduate research, community-based learning, internships, capstone experiences, and more. Leadership will offer insights into the evolving vision and strategy for engaged scholarship at PSU.
