Course Description

This Continuing Education course is intended for a practicing engineer interested in learning about instrumentation and control of automated manufacturing processes. The program is organized into three modules. ENGR 5131, Module 1 introduces sensors for measuring flow, level, pressure, and temperature. Student learning is assessed with an examination on the module's topics.

This course is the first of three courses required for the Process Instrumentation & Control certificate. The mode for all three courses in the series is web-based instruction; suggested pace is one topic per week with two-week allowance for the final exam.
