Course Description

This course provides an introduction to fracture and failure analysis that is specific to die setters in the powdered metal industry. How and why materials fail and how to characterize this behavior will be presented. Various examples will be provided to give the students the ability to evaluate the problems they could encounter. This course is specific to the DuBois Campus Die Setter Training which is comprised of 3 Modules. The course will be part of the classroom instruction portion of Module III. At present, it will be taught as a 2-hour course.
