Winery Regulations: This course introduces federal and state requirements for recordkeeping and reporting in a commercial winery, from harvest through sales. Students learn about regulations governing wineries and retail outlets, including recordkeeping, periodic reporting of operations, excise tax filing, and labeling laws.

BEFORE YOU REGISTER:  This program has a Canvas component that requires you to have a Penn State Access Account. This course incorporates online lecture with scheduled discussions one evening per week. Topics covered include: History of winery regulation and federal and state agencies, identification of classes of wine, recordkeeping, bottling and inventory records, Federal Report of Operations and excise tax form, Federal labeling requirements and PLCB requirements. 

CANCELLATION POLICY:  A full refund will be offered up to May 13, 2024.  A $50 drop fee will be assessed for cancellation requests received between May 14-20, 2024.  No refunds will be offered after May 21, 2024.  Cancellation requests should be directed to Erica Kunkel at els5014@psu.edu.
