Course Description

The mission of Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) is to promote excellence in trauma patient management by all providers involved in the delivery of prehospital care. PHTLS is developed by NAEMT in cooperation with the America College of Surgeons’ Committee on Trauma. Information is presented in lectures, demonstrations and small group skill stations that allows participants to update their clinical expertise in the trauma setting. The program consists of sixteen hours with a combination of lectures and practical true-to-life scenarios. A pre-test will be sent to participants upon registration and due the first day of class. A written post-test and skills testing will be administered for successful course completion.
