Course Description

Morning Camp: Students dreaming of becoming an engineer take flight in his eye-opening camp. Students will learn the basic principles of aerodynamics--gravity, thrust, resistance and lift and apply them to create and fly an airplane using paper, Styrofoam and balloons.

Afternoon Camp: Students will explore the exciting world of aviation and aerospace in a fun and engaging hands on way. They will build various gliders using rudders, ailerons, and wing flaps as well as identify the center of gravity and the essential parts of the glider that make it fly through the air.

*Please note that the morning session, Principles of Aerodynamics and the afternoon session, Applied Aerodynamics are two individual camps.  Campers can register for one or both camps, but registration must be done separately.
