Course Description

Basic business Spanish this course is designed to teach how to communicate in Spanish in meaningful and appropriate ways with other users of the language. It employs situational dialogues, role playing, reading and listening opportunities, writing practice and question and answer techniques. The knowledge of basic grammar and vocabulary as well as cultural insights that you can use in the boardroom and in your travels.

Spanish in the Workplace I

Our Spanish in the Workplace courses facilitate dialogue and foster a sense of appreciation of the Spanish language and the people who speak it. Dialects and cultural elements figure into the courses as well. Students will actively read, write, listen to, and speak in Spanish.

The course teaches basic grammar points and builds pronunciation skills. Students will become proficient in basic Spanish greetings and courtesies, and they will be able to understand and answer basic questions in Spanish. It is assumed that attendees have little or no previous practice with the language.

Dates: Tuesdays, April 30 – June 25, 2024 (This 21-hour course is delivered in nine sessions.)
Time: 5:30 pm–7:45 pm, last class on June 25 will be 5:30 – 8:30 pm
Location: Spanish in the Workplace will be taught using Zoom technology. Zoom instructions will be provided prior to the start of the program
