Course Description

This research-based curriculum can be customized and implemented by cross-content teachers using biology, anthropology, and history. In this particular genealogy camp, instructors will teach campers how to investigate their family history, including births, deaths, traditions, marriages, and movements from place to place. Campers will learn that genes are like instructions that turn on commands that make traits show up. This camp will help children to understand how to be creative while learning about DNA and family genetic history. Campers will also gain an understanding of how DNA impacts hair, skin, and eye color. Campers may also will learn how to conduct research through United States Census records and other government archives.

CANCELLATION/WITHDRAWAL POLICY:  Students may request a registration cancellation through the start date of the course.  A $25 cancellation fee will apply.  No refunds will be given for withdrawal requests after the course start date.  The University reserves the right to cancel course sections; if the course is cancelled the student will be issued a full refund.
