Course Description

This 5-day virtual program will be a continuation of Cybersecurity/Coding I. In addition to the coding experiences, you will continue learning about cybersecurity, a rapidly growing computer field that deals with securing your data against an ever-growing number of threats that results in data loss and theft. We will apply the coding skills you learn about security settings in popular systems you use every day such as email and social media to examine how hackers could potentially gain access to your private data, and explore a number of "ethical hacking" tools that experts use to determine whether their systems are vulnerable to "hackers" who constantly search for weaknesses in the protections you have put in place to secure your systems and data. A career exploration seminar designed for students entering 9th through 12th grade in the fall of 2021.
