Course Description

Inventory Management focuses the participant’s attention to several specific techniques to determine what to order, when to order and how much to order. The course will also examine those transactions that affect the accuracy of inventory. Finally, we will compare two means of inventory adjustments known as the physical inventory and the other known as cycle counting. Inventory accuracy is key to the other four elements of execution: forecasting, capacity management, execution and planning. This session is one of a series of topics that impart a fundamental knowledge and understanding of the basic inventory planning principles and specific techniques that are used at each level in the planning process from strategic to tactical.
