Course Description

This training reviews the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), rights and responsibilities as an employer covered by the FMLA and which employees are covered by this act. By the end of this training, participants will be able to: (1) Define the Family Medical Leave Act, the employees eligible for leave and the type of leave granted to employees; (2) Identify what constitutes a serious health condition; (3) Describe the impact on an employees' benefits when taking leave; (4) State the employers obligations for an employee returning from leave; (5) Explain the information you may request from an employee going on leave; and (6) Determine what notices you must provide to an employee regarding FMLA. Training will be assessed through active participation in the course.
