Course Description

    
Theory will be presented on live but this course requires a weekend in person trip where students will evaluate and drink wines. Students will learn to identify and describe the sensations of taste, touch and aroma in wine, evaluate tannins and perception of sweetness, describe the "mouthfeel" of a wine, related sensory perceptions to common aromatic compounds and conditions; evaluate overall wine quality, evaluate hedonistic attributes using aromatic descriptors; choose and prepare comparison sensory trials.
