Course Description

Objectives for this session are to
1. Gain an understanding of the use of Medical Marijuana,
2. Discuss the uses and pharmacological actions of THC, CBD (Cannabis source), CBD (Hemp source) and Hemp Seed Oil
3. Discuss product selection
4. Gain an understanding of the current laws, rules and regulations of use in healthcare; with special attention use in to Long Term Care

This program will include an overview of marijuana and its medicinal properties, approved products of consumption, and medical marijuana rules and regulations. This self-paced and self-study program will include readings, videos, and assessments.

Students will need to score at least 70% on the assessments to progress through the program.  At total of 0.3 CEUs will be awarded upon successful completion.  A Penn State noncredit transcript and program evaluation will be provided at the conclusion of the program.

Learning Objectives include:
