Course Description

Have you seen the Japanese show that pits contestants against crazy obstacle courses? We will create our physical challenges and see if you have what it takes to become the next Ninja Warrior. Campers can prepare test their individual strengths while learning about proper athletic preparation, technique, and healthy pre/post exercise nutrition.

Some of the activities will include Cardio Kickball, Heart Rate Dodgeball, Ultimate Frisbee, campus-wide endurance/agility challenges, obstacle courses, interval workouts, routines that mimic high-intensity cardio boot-camp classes, and much more.

Students will keep food/beverage blogs and spend time in the classroom each day reviewing and discussing their daily food options and choices.

Focus will be dedicated to proper techniques and safe preparation for each day’s events.This high-energy week will stress healthy competition, safety, teamwork, and overall fitness.Campers will log their physical activities and time-frames of exercise throughout the week.

Smartphones are welcome, as we’ll discuss many of the free available phone apps that are available for logging exercise, meals, and projected calories burned.Fitbits and other heart-rate monitors are also welcome! Get ready to get that heart rate pumping and those calories burning.
