To apply for certification to become a CFRS, individuals must meet the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) requirements, which include:•Total of 60 hours of training/education: 54 hours in Certified Recovery Specialist Training and 6 hours in Certified Family Recovery Specialist training •Letters of reference/character •Statement of lived experience
Date: Saturday, April 25, 2020 from 9:15 am – 3:45 pm Cost: $120 Location: Penn State Scranton Business Building Room 118 – 120 Ridge View Drive Dunmore PA 18512. Please bring a bag lunch. Instructors will travel between both Penn State Scranton and Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campuses.
This 6-hour family focused program is the additional training a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) needs for the 60-hour Certified Family Recovery Specialist peer support position. Participants will receive education in Family Recovery and Restoration, as well as, Healing the Stigma of Addiction.
**Exam: The PA Certification Board requires candidates to complete the CFRS exam application. The cost of the exam is $125 payable directly to the Board with the application and requisite documents.
