Course Description

The goal for this intermediate American Sign Language class is to expand on the skills that students already learned in the Introduction to American Sign Language class. Students will get an even more in-depth program involving finger spelling, conversational sign language, and a larger variety of commonly used signs. The class will also include an independent project that will allow the students to learn more about deaf culture.

The overall goal of this intermediate Sign Language class will be for the students to learn, recognize and reproduce approximately 200 signs, to be able to spell and read fingerspelling phonetically, and to converse with others at an intermediate level
