Course Description

This course provides an opportunity to set up and operate equipment found in a typical regional winery, focusing on equipment used for final filtration, bottling and labeling. Proper sanitation procedures will be included.

BEFORE YOU REGISTER:  This program has a Canvas component that requires you to have a Penn State Access Account. This course incorporates online lecture with 1 weekend session at a regional winery.  Topics covered include:  Introduction to winery equipment, weekend session at a regional winery and sanitation procedures.  An in-person winery equipment tour is required for this course.  Students choose from either a winery location in either Southeastern PA on 9/28/2024 or Northwestern PA on 10/5/2024.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  A full refund will be offered up to one week prior to the start of the course.  A $50 drop fee will be assessed for cancellation requests received within a week prior to the course start. No refunds will be issued after the course start date. Cancellation requests should be directed to Erica Kunkel at els5014@psu.edu.
