Course Description

Real Estate Fundamentals provides the student with a basic foundation for additional study and to support the practice of real estate in Pennsylvania. The course is designed to acquaint the student with the language, principles and laws that govern the business of real estate. Emphasis is on the underlying concepts of land, property, rights in the reality and the mean, methods and laws that govern the conveyance of these rights.

Real Estate Fundamentals provides the student with an introduction to all facets of the real estate business including a survey of fields of specialization. This course and the Real Estate Practice course have been approved by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission and can be applied toward the educational requirements for the salesperson's license exam and is a 30-hour class.  Participants must register for each class separately.  

IMPORTANT:  The Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission approves the educational requirements for the salesperson's examination.  The Real Estate Fundamentals course and the Real Estate Practice course do not need to be taken at the same time however both are required to sit for the Real Estate Salesperson Exam. You will be required to participate/attend classes 80% of class time at a minimum and this time will be recorded by the instructor. 

Days/Dates/Time:  Mondays, 6:00-9:00pm, September 16 – November 18, 2024
Location:  Penn State Scranton Campus 120 Ridge View Drive, Dunmore PA 18512, Building and Room location will be provided via email closer to course start date.
