Course Description

Strategic planning- The planning responsibility of senior management includes conceiving a realistic mission for their business, and developing a strategy that, when implemented, turns vision into reality. This course will instill a structure and process that will maintain corporate focus and gain competitive advantage in crowded markets. Will draw heavily on the work of Quinn and Porter, with firm grounding in a business world that cannot ignore daily operational requirements for the sake of planning. Presentations will be balanced with class exercises to develop practical skills. Students will produce a viable strategic plan.
