Course Description

Lean Six Sigma Theory and Application - Students will be introduced to the basics of lean six sigma. The magnitude of improvement of processing from a one sigma to a three sigma to a six sigma company will be explained along with the philosophies of the lean six sigma gurus such as Deming & Crosby. The path to continuous improvement will be presented by explaining the proven approaches of DMAIC (Design, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) & PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) and the 5 fundamentals of lean.  Students will discuss why statistics are important to their organization. Elimination of waste & process improvement will be discussed.
